  8. We've been doing some evaluations on the various Radar/Laser 
  9. Detection/Jamming.
  10.  
  11. I've found that best detection unit is the Valentine One w/Lidar. Nothing 
  12. else even comes close.

  14. For radar/laser jamming we found a Phazer jammer which is a little larger 
  15. than a standard radar detector. It reflects all signals on the X, K and 
  16. Ka bands as well as Laser/Lidar. The result is a reading of zero on the 
  17. measuring device. There is however a "punch through" range. When your 
  18. vehicle's mass overcomes the ability of the reflector to confuse the 
  19. radar/laser gun. An average car has a punch through range of 100 ft. More 
  20. than enough distance to make a speed adjustment. One should always use 
  21. the jammers with a good detector in order to have ample warning to 
  22. make the speed adjustment. If you are traveling at excessive speeds, they 
  23. will visually estimate the rate and stop you.

  25. Another device we have looked at is called the Defuser. This was 
  26. mentioned in a recent issue of Wired (two months ago at most). The 
  27. Defuser only works on Laser/Lidar. It has a mount that holds your front 
  28. plate. Which is where the operater is trained to aim the Lidar gun. It is 
  29. an active transmiter sending out invisible light at the same spectrum as 
  30. the Lidar gun. It renders the gun completly useless.

  33. Both companies have ticket rebate programs. Also all devices except the 
  34. Valentine One Dectector/Locater on work from the front.
